A perfectly balanced chai tea blended from premium Sri Lankan black tea and eight wholesome organic spices. This is a sticky chai tea held together by organic and vegan agave syrup. This helps keep the spices fresh as well as adding a gentle sweet aftertaste.
Chai tea is a blend of black tea and spices. There are no fixed recipes and each region of India has their own focus. Even within a given region there can be a large variation from family to family with many families seeing their specific version of chai as a family secret and part of their unique story.
Our Peacock Chai proudly resists artificial flavours which are much cheaper and often stronger than natural spices. Instead we’ve turned to real organic spices to bring the life and fire into what has become one of our most popular blends. There are 3 ways in which chai tea is prepared. First as a black tea without milk. Second, boiled in a pot with milk (this is the traditional Indian method of preparation and called masala chai). Third, steamed in a milk jug (a chai latte). Our Peacock chai tea can be prepared in all three methods.

1 tsp to 200mL cup 100°C degree water temperature 2 min steep to enjoy as a black tea, or a 4 min steep time for milk tea (always add milk first into your teacup before the hot tea. Reversing the order will risk denaturing the proteins in the milk making it less creamy) This is a single infusion tea
